Safety and limits
Safe settings, session endings, screening limits and where to seek help.
Use a safe setting
Use this adult wellness service only where you can relax safely. Never listen while driving, operating machinery, or doing anything that needs your attention.
You remain in control. Pause or stop if the experience feels uncomfortable or distressing. Do not use a session to postpone professional assessment or change prescribed care.
Screening has limits
Required questions can stop generation or limit the session. Answer for your current situation. Automated screening cannot establish that hypnosis is medically suitable for you.
The NHS cautions that hypnotherapy may be unsafe for people with schizophrenia, a history of psychosis, or epilepsy. Discuss suitability with a qualified health professional rather than relying on this app.
Seek assessment for concerning symptoms
A sudden severe headache or a headache with new neurological symptoms needs medical assessment. NICE lists these among features that require evaluation. A relaxation session cannot assess the cause.
Choose the ending deliberately
Ordinary sessions return to full everyday alertness. An eligible sleep session can settle toward sleep only after an affirmative sleep-ending choice and confirmation that you are already safely lying down.
That choice applies to the current session and setting. A saved sleep session is not appropriate while you are driving or need to remain attentive.
